Microsoft is beginning to preview the features and changes to Office 2019 today. He is making its very first Office 2019 preview offered to company clients, with features that are usually found in Microsoft's Office 365 subscription. Office 2019 will include the usual Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook client apps, together with server versions of Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business.
Microsoft is targeting this Windows version of Office 2019 towards businesses that aren't running Office 365, and the productivity suite will only work on Windows 10. A separate Office 2019 for Mac version will also be offered for macOS. "Updates include new and improved inking features across the apps, like the roaming pencil case, pressure sensitivity, and tilt effects; more effective data analysis in Excel, like new formulas, new charts, and Power BI integration; and advanced presentation features in PowerPoint, like Morph and Zoom," describes Microsoft's Jared Spataro.
Microsoft is planning to launch Office 2019 later this year. You can sign up to try out Office 2019 right here.
